Meagan + Luke
As do so many of my couples, Megan + Luke, who currently live in Hong Kong, chose Cape Town over many other cities in the world, to get married. This season, Vrede en Lust has been a very popular wedding venue, and I must admit, I am a sucker for Cape Dutch architecture, glass conservatories, and epic Franschoek mountain range views.
The first time I got to meet Meagan + Luke was very briefly, on the day before their wedding. When I deal with clients based in Cape Town, I always make a conserted effort to meet them before hand. Being able to know the client better does great things for trust-building and getting them to let down their guard with you around. Even though they didn't get the opportunity to know me a bit better, the couple were open books. Tears ran down both of their cheeks as they swopped + read letters from each other, while getting ready. The bridal party was nothing short of AMAZE while we were hanging out and taking photos, laughing 99.9% of the time, and the party was best described as a proper jol. A real celebration of love, devotion + family.
